The course does not seek to replace the practical element but allows you to undertake the online training at a time and place to suit you.
Thereafter, requiring you to book onto a one day rather than the two day practical course. On completion of both the practical and online course you will receive your 12 hour full Paediatric First Aid certificate at the end of the one day session.
This course serves as an excellent resource for those with English as a second language to equip you with the vocabulary, confidence and language skills to pass the practical course.
The course consists of step by step directions, diagrams, videos and a short test which you will be required to complete after each lesson. You will be able to complete the training at your own pace and on completion you will be able to print your certificate.
As it is impossible to cover all eventualities within this course, or equip you with the knowledge and skills to appropriately diagnose and treat unpredictable real life situations, where you suspect illness or injury, you should always seek professional medical advice immediately.
Babyem makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained within this course and will update where necessary. The course serves as a guide and it is recommended that once qualified as a first aider, you seek to maintain your knowledge through annual refresher training as highlighted in the EYFS March 2017.

In order to complete the training candidates are required to have the following in place:
- Internet access and a working email address
- Up to date internet browser such as: Google Chrome/ Internet Explorer/Safari/FireFox.
- Ability to hear audio/video via your computer
- Use of a computer to study the course – tablets and smartphones are not advisable for studying.
