The common core describes the skills and knowledge that everyone who works with children and young people is expected to have. The six areas of expertise in the common core offer a single framework to underpin multi- agency and integrated working, professional standards, training and qualifications across the children and young people’s workforce. This includes those who work with children and young people all the time as well as those who work with children and young people as only part of their job role.
This course provides step by step directions, diagrams, videos and a short test after each lesson. You will be able to complete the training at you own pace and on completion you will be able to print your Certificate.

In order to complete the online element of the Common Core course candidates are required to have the following in place:
- Internet access and a working email address.
- Up to date internet browser such as: google chrome/ internet explorer/safari/firefox.
- Ability to hear audio/video via your computer.
- Use of a computer to study the course – tablets and smartphones are not advisable for studying.
